Verdello

Care by the weather,
not by the calendar

Pruning, planting, feeding, protecting against frost: Verdello plans the care for your garden and balcony around the weather at your location — and tells you when watering is really needed. Other apps remind you every seven days, whether it has rained or the sun has been beating down for two weeks.

Try it now — iPhone, via TestFlight

The test app runs through Apple's TestFlight (free, iPhone only). You need Apple's TestFlight app to use it.

Care on a fixed schedule

·Fixed spacing, regardless of the weather
·Still says “water” after heavy rain
·Too late in a heatwave
·Pruning and planting by the book, however early or late spring arrives
·Pot, bed and shady spot all treated alike

Verdello

✓Care dates for pruning, planting, feeding and winter protection, matched to when the season starts where you are
✓Real rain counts towards watering
✓Evaporation based on temperature, wind and sun
✓Location matters: a pot dries out faster than a bed
✓Frost warning before it hits the plant

How it works

1 · Take a photo

Photograph the plant and the species is identified automatically — including its water needs and frost hardiness.

2 · Say where it grows

Pot or bed, sun or shade, covered or not. That is all it needs.

3 · Hear from it only when it matters

A notification when watering is really needed or frost is on the way. Care dates such as pruning or planting go into your device's calendar if you want them to.

And it learns as it goes

After you water, Verdello briefly asks what the soil was like. From your answer the app gets to know your location better — over time each plant gets its own rhythm. Textbook values are the starting point, not the end.
